Trip overview

Embark on one of the Himalayas’ most captivating adventures with the Three-Passes Trek. This expedition will guide you through the heart of three towering mountain passes, each offering a unique vantage point to witness the world’s grandest peaks and immerse in the region’s vibrant culture.

1. Kongma La (5,535m)

  • Overview: As the inaugural pass of this trek, Kongma La reaches a staggering height of 5,535 meters. As you make your ascent, the majestic outlines of Ama Dablam and Cholatse gradually unveil themselves.
  • Signature Sight: Be enchanted by the turquoise lakes glistening beneath, especially during early mornings when the sun’s rays dance upon their surfaces.

2. Cho La (5,420m)

  • Overview: Cho La presents itself as the second hurdle, posing a rigorous climb. However, the effort pays off with a sweeping panorama of the Everest range. Prayer flags fluttering in the wind add a spiritual aura to this locale.
  • Signature Sight: The eastern glacier is a marvel, with cascading icefalls that are a testament to nature’s raw power.

3. Renjo La (5,360m)

  • Overview: Renjo La, the concluding pass, may be a gentler ascent but is equally magnificent. It presents a fresh lens to admire the Everest range.
  • Signature Sight: Standing atop, one can gaze upon Everest in all its glory, accompanied by neighboring giants like Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu.
